Celiac Compass is an iOS restaurant finder app for people with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, or gluten-free dietary needs. This Privacy Policy explains what information Celiac Compass collects, uses, stores, and shares when you use the app.

Information we collect

Celiac Compass collects the following information:

• Name and email address — used for account creation and sign-in through Firebase Authentication.
• Location data (GPS) — used to find nearby gluten-free restaurants. Location data is used only for this purpose and is not stored or shared by Celiac Compass.
• User-submitted safety reports — such as reports that indicate “I was safe” or “I got sick” after visiting a restaurant.
• User-written restaurant reviews — reviews you choose to submit about restaurants.
• Saved or favorited restaurants — restaurants you choose to save or favorite in the app.

Information we do not collect

Celiac Compass does not collect:

• Payment information
• Health records
• Contacts
• Data used to track you across other apps or websites

How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and manage user accounts
• Help users find nearby gluten-free restaurants
