Hard Hat Hop is made by Desert Spins LLC, a company in the United States. This policy explains what the game does with information, in plain language. It is short because the game does very little.

The short version

There is no account and no login of ours. No sign-up, no password, no Desert Spins server anywhere. Your progress lives on your phone, and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own iCloud account, where we cannot read it.

Two outside companies do receive something, and both are named throughout this page. Apple gets what you would expect from Game Center, iCloud and purchases. Google gets device and network data through the ad code, which starts after your first run ends and fetches one ad in the background even if you never watch one — unless you own the Foreman Pass, in which case it never starts.

We do not sell your personal information, and we hold no file on you to sell. Some US state laws count personalized advertising as "sharing" personal information; the ad code can be used that way, so this page says so plainly and tells you how to opt out (see Consent for ads).

What is stored on your device

The game saves your progress with the standard iOS settings store (UserDefaults), inside the app's own sandbox on your phone. That is:

• Your coin wallet.
• Which workers you have hired, and the toolbox counters behind the pull odds (total pulls, pulls since the last epic, when your next free pull is due).
• Whether you own the Foreman Pass. That is a purchase record, kept on your phone so the game knows what you bought.
• Your best score and your total number of runs.
• Your last ten best runs: the score, which worker you were playing, the date, and what ended the run.
• Which achievements you have earned.
• Settings: sound on or off, buzz (haptics) on or off, which worker you have selected.
• Your daily clock-in streak and the date you last clocked in, which decide the daily bonus.
• Housekeeping numbers: total seconds played, your recent short-run streak (that one decides when you get an easy shift), and a timestamp of when this device last saved, used to work out which save is newer when two devices disagree.

None of that identifies you. No names, no email address, no contacts, no photos, no location, no microphone, no camera, no health data, no advertising profile of our own. The game does not ask for any of those permissions, because it does not use them.
